1996 Annual Passholder Nights
My wife and I went to both of the 1996 Annual Passholders' Nights (2/1 and
2/2). We also went to the park on the morning of 2/2.
Here are some notes and pictures from the trip:

- Bear Country Unplugged
- We were allowed to go up on stage and check out the bears up-close.
Here's one I captured on film.
- Toy Story Stuff
- Here's Bo Peep from Toy Story. She looks a bit out of place in Tomorrowland,
though (and there were no sheep to be seen).
- We watched the Hamm's All Doll Revue. It was an entertaining stage show.
Here are a couple of scenes.
- My wife and I in the Toy Story Funhouse.
- Castle
- The castle was covered with scaffolding, as part of its repainting.
Here are a couple of scenes.
A small portion of it was exposed, showing the new paint scheme.
- Landscaping
- The landscaping was, as usual, quite beautiful. See for yourself.
- King Triton Fountain
- The fountain opened to the public some time in December, I believe.
They'd been fine-tuning it, and it reopened on 2/2.
- New hidden Mickey?
- We thought this lock in Toontown had a distinct mouse shape to it. What
do you folks think?
- Main Street
- Main Street was decorated for the occassion.
- Space Mountain
- They let us ride Space Mountain with the lights on. Several folks said
they thought it was more scary that way.
- Pinocchio
- We were allowed to walk through the Pinocchio and Snow White dark rides
in Fantasyland (no pictures inside, though)
- New Orleans Square
- Mood-lit at night, the square was quite lovely.
It wasn't bad by day, either...
- We spotted these ship's masts poking up above New Orleans Square. I
don't recall seeing them before, though. Have they been here for long?
- Search for Simba
- My highlight of the evening. We got to ride the Jungle Cruise with the
lights off, armed with flashlights. They had stuffed (literally!) Simbas
all over the place, and we were to look for them. I thought it was a blast!
- Where is this
- I thought these were lovely. Can you identify where in the park this
scene is?
